I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how happy I am with the services I have received at Benchmark Learning and in particular, how impressed I have been while working with Kristin Schwarzbauer who is a member of your team.
Kristin has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I can tell that she cares that the training I receive and my experiences at Benchmark Learning are the best that they can be. Kristin and I have talked on several occasions about what it is that I am hoping to get out of my training; from there she researches what is available, discusses my needs with other colleagues that have expertise in my desired fields and proposes solutions that will get me the most “bang for my buck”.
She has taken extra time to talk with me and truly get an understanding of my current skills. These discussions along with the online skill assessments are all incorporated into her recommendations. I don’t feel as though I am getting a “cookie cutter” solution, but what is actually right for me as an individual client. Heck, she even took the time to tell me about some back routes I can use to circumvent traffic to get to your facility. Those tips alone have made my life so much easier that I still can’t believe it! I can’t tell you how refreshing it is that someone is willing to go that extra mile.
I will close by saying that I can’t say enough positive things to my friends and colleagues about my experiences at Benchmark Learning and Kristin is a major reason why. She is an asset to your organization and I look forward to working with her more in the future.

Reinvestment –
Back in 1993, my fortune had turned south like many folks are experiencing today — pink slip from a job I had for ten years, credit card notices coming in from the bank, foreclosure notices on my home and an experience with family court that I really try to forget. Nothing was working. I was at the state unemployment office telling this guy how I thought I needed to get more training and was thinking of going back to school. This gentleman laid on me one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received. He said I was probably correct that I needed more training and more education is desirable; however, you have more pressing issues right now like food and shelter. You really don’t have the option of going off on some new quest. What you need to do is assess your current assets, find out what is the shortest distance to a good shot at becoming gainfully employed and hop on that with both feet.
This guy was right! Benchmark Computer Learning’s Novell certification program was my ticket. I met with one of the Benchmark representatives and explained that I was borrowing money that I didn’t have, betting that their training and my hard work would get me out of this hole I seemed to be in. It worked! The high-level training and moral support I received from Benchmark’s staff was just the ticket. Even though I struggled through most of the classes I took — sometimes a lot — the instructors and staff never gave up on me or made me feel like the dunce I felt like. Thank you, Matt, Peter, Dan, Lu and others.
In the subsequent years, some things change and some don’t. I don’t do Novell or Microsoft anymore but I still have a need to eat and sleep somewhere nice. By me reinvesting (yes, much of it has been on my dime) in myself, here at Benchmark Learning, I don’t fear the future; I look it right in the eye and say, “Bring it on!” Each time in my life, when either the market or my life experiences dictated some type of a career move was necessary, Benchmark Learning has always been there with the solutions I needed. I do need to give extra special kudos to Ron and Eric for all the great ITIL training you gave me. (You guys pulled me through.) Finally, I want to thank Leslie for all the hard work she is doing to get the leading-edge ITIL classes available and for the excellent job she does of communicating your offerings. People like you truly have made a major difference in my life and I’m guessing I’m not the only one. Keep up the great work, and again, thank you!
