How does a webinar work?

After you register, you need to test your connectivity for the webinar. You can do that in the Connectivity Test Room. We recommend that you perform the test as soon as possible to ensure you are able to connect using Elluminate, the technology we use for our webinars. You may need to ask your IT staff for assistance. They can use this PDF for additional assistance. You will also receive a confirmation email with login details and the link to the Connectivity Test Room.

You will receive a reminder email for your webinar 10 days prior to the date it is scheduled for. Be sure to save your email so you have the login information easily available. It might be a good idea to drag the email into your Outlook calendar so Outlook will create an appointment with all of the information saved in it.

On the day of the webinar you'll want to login about 15 minutes prior just so you are sure not to miss anything or in case you have technical issues and need your IT team to assist you. When the webinar begins you will watch on your computer screen and listen over your speakers using VOIP (Voice Over IP). You can also interact by using Elluminate's chat feature to ask questions. Our Webinar Moderator will help our Educator answer your questions, while keeping the webinar running smoothly. Each webinar will consist of introductions, an excellent lesson by one of our educators and time for Q&A.
